They didn\u2019t need to talk.\u201d Slade was new into the band before the recording of \u2018The Razors Edge\u2019 in 1990 and he found that things were left unspoken in his audition too. \u201cMalcolm and Angus set up chairs, watched me playing the whole time, and said nothing. Afterwards they asked me if I wanted anything. I asked for a cheese sandwich and a coffee \u2013 and that was it. I was in AC\/DC.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Welshman played on \u2018The Razors Edge\u2019 album and enjoyed two separate stints with AC\/DC. He had previously been in Manfred Mann\u2019s Earth Band and The Firm with Jimmy Page. But did he know that \u2018The Razors Edge\u2019 was going to be such a big album?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t spot it\u2026 Sometimes you can spot it, other times you can\u2019t. I felt very much like that when we did \u2018Blinded By The Light\u2019 with Manfred Mann. But it wasn\u2019t that way with \u2018The Razors Edge\u2019 at all.
