\"Little<\/a>A couple weeks ago a fan shared a post on Facebook<\/a> with some photos about mail he got years ago from some of his favorite bands. One of those bands was one of my clients, Little Caesar.<\/a> He wrote this about Little Caesar:<\/p>\n

Little Caesar \u2026 letters from Ron & Fidel from Little Caesar.\u00a0 Not only did Fidel write me back, he also called me.\u00a0 This was the first time a band member had actually done this. I freaked the fuck out.\u00a0 I had seen an MTV News clip about how some dude had called Slaughter\u2019s hotline and invited them to crash at his house when they were in town, and they actually did.\u00a0 So, despite living with my parents\u2026I offered their place up to Fidel & the boys on their next run thru Cincinnati.\u00a0\u00a0 My Mom would\u2019ve totally made them food and my Dad would\u2019ve got hammered with them\u2026no doubt in my mind.\u00a0 If only\u2026.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This caused me to stop and think, what will your fans say about you 20 years from now? Would it a memory like “Not only did Fidel write me back, he also called me.\u00a0 This was the first time a band member had actually done this. I freaked the fuck out.” Or is your connection with your fans so weak they won’t remember one thing about you?<\/p>\n

Every day you should strive to do something that creates a memory for one of your fans that will last a lifetime for them. Doing that doesn’t entail lots of work or money, as Fidel did you could pick up the phone and call someone. You could post a photo that a fan submits on your Facebook page. You could share a message a fan sent you with all your fans. It might even be as simple as personally saying thank you to a fan.<\/p>\n

20 years from now do you want to be a “I freaked the fuck out!” memory or a “Who?” memory? Its all up to you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
