The internet is filled with self-proclaimed experts. Experts who are more than willing to give you free advice on how to further your career. Advice that if followed and fails has zero impact on them personally. Take a few minutes to research who is giving you the advice. What have they done in their career. What have they done for others.<\/div>\n

Here is some unsolicited advice that I recently saw posted on Facebook. Who is this person? Why should you follow their advice? What have they done? Following advice like this could actually destroy your career.<\/div>\n

my SUGGESTION to you is to NOT go digital with the YOUR material . the reason being is that once you go digital anyone and everyone will just share the file over and over again for free . that’s why the CD industry has been ALL BUT DEAD since 2005 2006 . ya’ll and the their estate should put that EP or even an LP on VINYL only . maybe even just sell this VINYL ALBUM yourselves from a free Facebook page or regular website . ya’ll would make some decent money . seriously .<\/div>\n

whatever you guys decide, DON’T put it out on c.d. OR cassette . cassettes can be made into digital files also . you just have to buy a converter of sorts . PLUS both cassettes AND c.d.’s can be dubbed in high speed . and yes, we all know that most modern day turntables are made with a usb cable connected to them BUT, there is NO SUCH THING as high speed dubbing with VINYL RECORDS . to convert a vinyl record into a digital file you have to do it in REAL TIME . meaning, if the album is 15 minutes to 60 minutes long, then that’s how long it will take to convert it into a digital file . dig ? thus, dissuading many would be pirates from creating a digital file of a VINYL album and placing it onto a file sharing site because it would just take too damn long . file sharing will ALWAYS exist BUT, if things are done my proposed way, there will be much, much less of it . which means some actual money in the artists’ bank account where it actually belongs .<\/div>\n

even though I am low income, I have no problem paying $ 17.00 dollars for an album with 7 – 11 actual songs on it ( LP ) as long as there is NO FILLER WHATSOEVER or just one filler song . and you can get a decent turntable NEW for $ 149.00 . just make sure you also get a decent needle : $ 40.00 . you can pick-up a decent used turntable for $ 50.00 without a needle . NOT EVEN A 22-BIT C.D. USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A 22-BIT C.D. PLAYER CAN BEAT THE WARMTH AND PRESENCE OF A VINYL RECORD PLAYED USING A HALF-WAY DECENT NEEDLE . PERIOD .<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
