Hypebot is a leading music industry news and technology blog with a readership of over 11,000 music industry professionals.

5. One word of advice you would give a band that you just saw in a club?
“Great performance guys, now go and collect a few email addresses to place on your mailing list…. What? What do you mean ‘you don’t have one’?!”

6. Your first concert? Who, Where and When?
Cheb Khaled (Arabic for “Young man Khaled”) who became the most internationally famous Algerian singer in the Arab World. I was 5 years old on a boat in Alexandria, Egypt with my mother. He brought me on stage and where I had my first public performance playing the drums.

7. Your first album?
I traded my older brother half a Coke Slurpee for Mötley Crüe’s “Too Fast For Love.”

8. Do you prefer CD, Vinyl or Digital and why?
I prefer the sound quality of vinyl, the artwork and contents of a CD, and the connivence of digital.

9. Are you or were you ever in a band?
I’ve been in several bands ranging from symphonic, jazz, heavy metal, pop rock, live hip-hop, alternative, Arabic folklore and continue to work as a session drummer.

10. If you could be a rock star, who would you be?
Myself in 10 years 😉
