Gotta get me one of these to go with my H.R. Pufnstuf action figure. Loved this show as a kid.
A couple of weeks ago we reported that Sid & Marty Krofft’s SMK and Vivendi Entertainment are preparing new DVD releases of H.R. Pufnstuf – The Complete Series AND H.R. Pufnstuf – The Complete Series: Collector’s Edition. In each case you’ll get a 3-disc set with every episode of the show, plus a new-to-DVD bonus episode from The Krofft Superstar Hour (a program which was later retitled “The Bay City Rollers Show”). That episode is none other than “Horror Hotel”, and it starred Billie Hayes as “Witchiepoo”, plus other Pufnstuf characters such as Orson.
There are also downloadable vintage coloring sheets included on these releases. And the item which makes the Collector’s Edition so collectible is a Bobble-Headed Pufnstuff, which you can see through the plastic window of the packaging shown at the bottom (underneath the standard release’s package image). Costs, as previously reported, are $24.99 SRP for the standard release, and $34.97 SRP for the collector set.
