File this in For What It’s Worth… I have been running a website called Rock Otaku, www.RockOtaku.com, for about three months now. The site gathers rock news from across the internet, sources such as Rolling Stone, Bravewords, Kerrang, Classic Rock and others, and sends out the rock news via a single Twitter feed. Since its launch over 10,000 rock n roll stories have been posted. Below are the Top 10 rock stories, based upon number of views:
* Steve Perry asks to rejoin Journey – 82
* Steve Perry Again – 20
* Tommy Thayer, Nick Simmons Jam With Robbie Krieger – 14

Looking at these stats, Steve Perry is by far the most popular rock and roll story on the internet according to Rock Otaku.

Steve Perry, blech. But, I can’t even read this post as I cannot get past your profile pic update. Wow!
Steve Perry and Journey, both collectively and individually, rule! That’s my opinion and I’m stickin’ with it! Journey forever!
Steve Perry and his possible return to the spotlight is the biggest music news lately. Someone twittered today they saw Steve leaving Capitol Records and his solo record would be hitting the streets soon. The Giants inspired him to create music again and he stated he had 50 or so new songs written – so will a new record and tour really be on its’ way from the man deemed to have one of the best voices in Rock N Roll? I guess only time will tell. In a recent interview with his fanasylum online site – he stated that it was pretty clear that he and the other members of Journey aren’t meant to be together since their official split in 1998 – but his solo career may be the Phoenix rising once again.
I Agree Joan! You said a mouthful!
Well said Joan, I can hardly wait to hear new music from Steve. Perry On!!!
Steve Perry rules my heart (strings)!!!!!
