Yesterday I received a email from Sue Ennis a fan of The Music Biz Weekly podcast. Sue teaches music business at Shoreline Community College in Seattle. She said that when the Fall Quarter starts up in late September, she is going to require students in her Career Development class to subscribe and listen to the podcast each week as a basis for class discussions. Exciting news!
I also wanted to mention that Sue has a very impressive history…
Sue Ennis is a Seattle songwriter whose songs include Classic Rock radio staples Straight On, Even It Up and Dog and Butterfly. She has co-written over 65 songs for the rock band Heart and co-wrote the theme from The Golden Child starring Eddie Murphy with James Bond composer, John Barry, Ann and Nancy Wilson.
I know I can speak for my co-host Brian Thompson at Thornybleeder that we are extremely honored with this news. We set out to do nothing more than chat weekly about our views on the music business and to see how the podcast has just exploded is nothing short of incredible. Thank you to every single person who listens to The Music Biz Weekly podcast each week.
In the words of Wayne and Garth… We’re Not Worthy!

I’m currently in the process of starting my own business up (artist management), I found your blog 3 days ago and have already listened to every podcast, taken notes and researched the topics, which have in turn, helped me think of some really great ideas and a much clearer understanding of how its all connected!
In short you guys rock!
Thanks so much Dan, it really is great to know we are able to help others out.
