The Peters Brothers came to Ashland University during my freshman year in 1988. I showed up wearing a KISS shirt to hear them talk. :) They were idiots then and probably bigger ones now.

This is so sad and funny at the same time. These clowns know as the Peters Brothers and other clowns like these are the one’s that give religion a bad name, what a freaking joke. Thanks for posting this and making me laugh, I needed it.

I have this tape. Jack Oblivian of The Oblivians gave it to me several years ago. It’s pretty funny. You can actually hear them (Peters Bros) laughing while describing Wendy O Williams flesh colored nipples and outfit. Pretty hilarious stuff. Wonder what they are doing now.

  6. Mike says:

I have a tape of them going after Stryper. I went to see them once locally and they were showing song lyrics on a video screen. They frequently had the lyrics wrong, always to make the song seem worse.

  7. Bryan Coates says:

Absolutely hilarious. It’s hard to believe that there are people like this that are so stiff-serious about everything, with no trace of a sense of humor.
How could anyone, even then, actually believe that KISS are a serious threat to decency, morality and society in general.
These Christian extremists are so out to lunch I almost feel sorry for them for making complete asses of themselves. I’m embarassed for them.

  8. Wilson says:

I loved this vintage interview. Although Kiss was not so “exposed” in this interview. Thanks for posting this.

  9. Wezze says:

I truly hate holier than thou religious types like this. Who are they to say how we should think and feel? Quoting the Bible and all this talk about a god is so hysterically insane and arcaic.

  10. Joe Rogs says:

This is so funny. When I was in jr. high around ’87 or ’88 a guy named Joe Viera ,who was once known to be the manager of Iron Butterfly backin the day, but now was a born-again Christian came to Kingston High School to give a multimedia presentation “Have we sold our souls for rock ‘n roll”. This was when the “devil in the music stuff” with backward masking, etc was making publicity. So a group of us went to the presentation to here about KISS, Led Zep, Sabbath, etc and satanism, etc. After the talk, I argued with the guy about his views particularly of KISS, when he gave me this tape of Peter Brothers, hoping to influence me. It was the biggest joke….we definitely got a few laughs from this one. I thought I was the only KISS fan that actually had possession of this tape….until now!

  11. Tommy says:

They did one on AC/DC too.
